Flying Blue

Flying Blue is the loyalty program of Air France and KLM, members of the SkyTeam alliance. It's one of the most accessible international programs for Brazilians, because it receives transfers from the main coalitions (Livelo and Esfera) and often runs good promotions.

How it works

As a SkyTeam program, Flying Blue lets you earn and redeem on Air France, KLM and partners like Delta, Korean Air and Aeroméxico. In Brazil, you transfer Livelo points (usually 2:1) and Esfera. Miles expire after a period of inactivity — keep the account active and check the current rule on the official site. Tiers are Explorer, Silver, Gold and Platinum (by XP).

How to accumulate

  • Transferring Livelo and Esfera points (the most common route in Brazil).
  • Flying Air France, KLM and SkyTeam partners.
  • With Amex Santander Membership Rewards, among other cards.
  • On miles-purchase promotions and transfer bonuses (assess it with the Simulator).

How to redeem

  • Air France and KLM flights to Europe and connections worldwide.
  • Flights on SkyTeam partners (Delta, Korean Air, Aeroméxico, ITA Airways and others).
  • Promo Rewards: discounted-miles destinations every month.
  • Mileage cost is dynamic — always compare before booking.
